  1. Another great Gi by Gameness

Posted by Adam on 18th Jul 2012

I'm writing this review after having the new XT gi for a little over a week. First off I have to say what sets Gameness apart for me is that they are very consistant with their products. They are always top notch and I do really enjoy all 3 gi's I have from them and they are always in my rotation.

Okay, back to the XT gi: The first thing you'll notice is how simple but sharp this gi looks, the blue stitching and the blue accents against the white really give it a clean sleak look. It has a couple small emblems on the gi and a large one on the lapel but none of them are overwhelming so if you don't like that kind of style I would say this one is kind of in the middle ground. It's not too crazy but just enough on it to catc someones eye. 5/5 stars on it's apperance.

As for the Fit: I'm 6,0 175 lbs so the jacket is a little big on me out of the box but with one shrinking in the dryer it now fits really well. If you're one of those grapplers that likes your gi's real loose then I don't know if this is for you. The XT as well as my other Gameness gi's have a more tailored fit on me but without feeling too constricting. To me the jacket could be cut about another inch shorter but I'd really be pulling at straws to say that's a complaint, it's more of a preference. So for fit I'd give it a 5/5

Construction: Right out of the box I always check to see if there are any mistakes with the sewing or if there are any loose threads which there were none. The jacket has a nice thick collar comparable to other Gameness collars which I really like, expect to do 2 hard days of rolling before it loosens up though cause it'll be a little stiff. It's a pretty thick gi but I have to say it breathes really well. It's July and I train in F.L. so you can imagine how hot it is here but I'm still going to keep it in my summer rotation because I didn't find myself stopping to sit out and cool off. Construction 5/5

Overall this is a great gi for a really good price! I couldn't be happier with my purchase so far and I've had at least 10 compliments already on how nice the gi looks. Great job Gameness keep it up!
